The January 2007 Featured Artist is Lupe Echevarria

I had always thought one had to be born an artist in order to even hold a brush, let alone create! But when I retired from the world of business and struggled to find a new identity outside of work, I met a wonderful watercolor artist/teacher with whom I studied for several years.  I loved the medium and developed a special affinity for painting flowers. 

Then, when I started coming to Florida six years ago, I very accidentally discovered the world of paper arts and have been addicted ever since - rubberstamping, cards, altered books, journaling, scrap-booking, even polymer clay - everything!  Like everyone else, I have more supplies than I'll ever use up and love every bit and piece I own.
