Jean Satterfield
This is the second time I have been artist
of the month. Thanks, Claire, for your belief in me. I started
stamping many years ago when I lived in California and I cut up kitchen
sponges and used paint to stamp on my walls. Didn't know about
rubber then. I found coloring books with rubber stamps and pads to
stamp in and tell a story for my grandchildren. They had great fun
with them. Then one time I was here visiting my mom and she took me
to Stamp Augustine and Claire's where I was introduced to rubber stamping
for adults and I fell in love. Didn't do much about it at the time,
but when I moved back to St. Augustine, I found myself in Claire's more
and more. So now I have a room totally dedicated to rubber stamping.
Since I've retired, my husband and I started taking dance lessons and we
go dancing all the time now, so I don't get as much stamping done as I'd
like. But I find time to keep the birthday cards going and go to as
many conventions as I can. I thought I'd share some techniques I've
learned over the years and since this is May and Mother's Day month I
added a few cards I've made my Mom.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I did making
them!
