Helen Barnes retired to Florida with her husband, a
professional artist, after 33 years of teaching British Literature to
high-school seniors. Retirement meant doing what she always loved.
Writing and visual arts. When she does not write short stories for
publication about her native country of Greece, she creates greeting cards
in rubber stamping and mixed media art. Her creations have been
published in most paper arts magazines and have received awards at local
art shows.
Helen teaches 50 different techniques in three
different towns. Her advice is "read every paper craft magazine you
can find, attend rubber-stamping conventions, and take classes in what you
love the most. Above all, devote time to your art every day.
