Our May Artist is Jan McIntire
I got started in rubberstamping several years ago when I saw Janelle
Marshall demonstrating at one of the craft stores. I wasn't too
taken with the idea of rubberstamping but wanted to know how to make the
Japanese folded-kimono card. I took one card and got "hooked."
Since then I have taken several classes from Janelle, worked part-time
for her before she and Jim moved and have a gazillion stamps. I
really enjoy making cards and sold a few but mostly just make cards
because they are pretty and fun. I really like trying new things.
I can use someone else's main idea and then run with my own
thoughts and make it mine. My justification for continually buying
new stamps and supplies is that it keeps me sane. If I couldn't
create, I wouldn't have any vices!
