2005 Artist, Connie Bruno
My husband, Bob, and I moved to St. Augustine four years ago. A
requirement for our new home was a room for all my craft and sewing
supplies. I had such wonderful "stuff" it required two new closets
to hold it. Then one day I walked into Claire's rubber stamp
store... it changed my creative life forever. All the boxes, bins,
baskets, and shelves that held fabric, ribbon, lace, and flowers now hold
paper, ink pads, rubber stamps, embellishments and fibers.
I took a sixteen-week course in collage and classes from Elle Barry and
Janelle Marshall and added my first $500 to Claire's cash register.
I am now a "multi-media artist" instead of a "crafter". Sounds more
elegant doesn't it? Almost everything I see requires collaging.
I'm starting on my refrigerator next week!
